Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Hi guys,

I mean, we still have summer, but the winter is coming...

Thinking of getting the new Eurotronics Spirits (at the moment cheap here in Germany).

@Jon, do you think the plugin will be ready in the next 2-3 months?

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Congratulations? Is that the same life event that I am preparing for that will require precise control over heating in a bedroom?

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

and on that note, does this plugin work on Popp/Devolo TRVs? I have been controlling them manually, but would like to get easier control on them.

Thanks

I will start looking at this in a short while - I have Spirit Thermostats and I would like to support them better :)

The plugin supports Popp thermostats and I have a number in use. :)

Ah. Popp is great but I also have Devolo TRVs. Are these supported?
Thanks

Possibly (I haven't got a Devolo) - I might need to do a minor change to support them. Best thing would be to try them and see.
If they don't work, then do a print of the device of the device to the Indigo log and paste the results here.

Run a server script action:
Code: Select all
indigo.server.log(u'Devolo - Thermostat:\n %s' % (indigo.devices[12345678])) # "Devolo - Thermostat"
where 12345678 is the Indigo device ID of the Devolo Thermostat. :)

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Here you go. I am pretty sure the Devolo is just a rebadged Popp, the hardware looks identical at least. Not sure about the firmware.

I have done the very minor change (untested and the only change when compared to the previous version). Hopefully it should now support the Devolo - pre-release available here: 2.3.7 Release

Let me know whether it works or not :)

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Cheers... finally got round to testing and it looks to be working. Its setup (with a dummy meta device for the heating control) now to understand how to use it!
