Re: 3rd Party Control of ATV Coming

This is probably the thing I've wished for the longest with my home automation. Fortunately the Broadlink devices give me full control over my ATV's via Indigo/HomeKit/Siri but native would be nice.

My Modest Contributions to Indigo:

HomeKit Bridge | Device Extensions | Security Manager | LCD Creator | Room-O-Matic | Smart Dimmer | Scene Toggle | Powermiser | Homebridge Buddy

Re: 3rd Party Control of ATV Coming

I suspect that 3rd party control is going to be limited to control 4 and the others that they were working with for Siri remote control functions. I also suspect they’re going to be bringing those guys into the HomeKit fold.

CEPro is reporting that it's sanctioned provider only: Crestron, Control4, and Savant.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Well they have already exposed basic playback and volume control to Siri. I can ask my home pod to Play/Pause, etc as well lower or raise the volume for any of the apple tvs in my house running 11.4 or greater. So appears to be getting processed by home kit. So we will see. :D
