Just got 2 zones so far, drip hose on the raised veg beds. Tempted for pop up sprinklers on the lawn but really not needed

Umm no idea. The valves came wired and I just connected up to the controller.

I do.. I have a simple couple of valves setup on a relay for the garden hose and one for a sprinkler in the wife’s verge garden. Nothing exciting but works well (well does when it’s physically installed, I’m revamping this all right now)

I loved the sprinkler and drip systems - was a simple hoselock one, timed but not automated but worked really well at the time.

This time around I am going to fit something more substantial.

Ah haha. I have so little idea about electricals at all to even get it was a joke. Sorry.

Did you use Lucas wiring products?

What are wiring products? Probably a no but not sure.

This time around I am going to fit something more substantial.

I started with that but now moved onto netafin pressure compensated drip hose which is really good. Check out these guys for advice.

I've still not bothered with automation. The hunter control timer does 4 zones and possibility of rain gauges to delay watering. Without a water meter I don't see the point in paying for a web enabled one or trying to integrate one into indigo.

Ah .. the Prince of Darkness . Brings back memories of my Series 2 Land Rovers!!

The solenoid box photo also looked familiar - very similar to mine. Here’s a shot of the “other end” of my system to allow control direct from Indigo using two Fibaro double relays. Note cable entry from below to reduce risk of water entry as the enclosure’s outdoors

The push buttons on the bottom allow manual toggling of each valve - for the “lady gardener” who is reluctant (refuses?) to use the sprinkler control page
