Which 3 technologies/devices would you like to see added to and/or officially supported in Indigo?

For Alexa (Echo) integration, the Alexa-Hue bridge plugin works well also, and it's free.

Zigbee.
I can't understand why it isn't supported yet. USB dongles are easy to get a hold of.
It's supported by just about every other automation system/software out there.
One world-wide frequency so no confusing/guesswork when buying modules unlike z-wave.

It's costing me a fortune buying Busch-Jaeger zigbee relay modules that work with hue because indigo doesn't support zigbee switches/buttons!

Re: Which 3 technologies/devices would you like to see suppo

Perhaps because there's at least 3x more Z-Wave devices available than ZigBee. We've always wanted ZigBee to become a bigger player in the market, and it's definitely getting there. But as a small company we have to prioritize what we work on, and getting Z-Wave fleshed out is more important. It's also somewhat telling that we have yet to have a 3rd party developer add support for ZigBee - we usually see developers jump on the technologies that are in demand but it's not happened for ZigBee.

We will continue to monitor ZigBee and weigh it against our other priorities, but demand will have to increase significantly before it moves up on the list.

Now when IKEA is launching it's wireless systems system that is based on Zigbee with aggressive prices it might be a goos a good idea to reconsider implementing Zigbee.

This is funny.
Just yesterday I visited this thread too after looking at the Ikea tradfri system.

I have been looking at HUE for a while, but found it to be too expensive. The Ikea variant is something I'm willing to try.

I've read some people had success adding the bulbs to a HUE bridge on older firmware. Apparantly the newer HUE firmware is not able to communicate with the Ikea lamps...it seems that Ikea is not following the proposed standard to the letter.
Having said that, I can understand why Jay & Matt are not putting too much effort to supporting Zigbee, seeing that the different implementations of different manufacturers are all over the place... so much for adhering to a standard...

At this rate we'll have more hubs than actual devices.

Native Sonos Integration would be nothing short of amazing, though the current plugin does a really amazing job!

The Ecobee is easily the best smart thermostat on the market for sure.

I would throw another option out there, and that would be some sort of supported integration with SimpleHome iOS app

I would like access to Schlage Sense. If not that, then the ability to update the status of a HomeKit device, some sort of interface to the AppleTV home kit.

Thanks

Just in case it's of any use to you if you install HomeBridge Buddy or Homekit-bridge you can setup your devices in the Home app in iOS and use it's geolocation functionality to activate devices and action groups. I've been using it this way for quite some time and i find it most accurate. And gives you siri command control too which is handy :)

Same here. I was using IFTTT and it was hit-and-miss, but HomeKit has been pretty spot on.

Yeah it's great. I get it to turn on my iKettle and heating when i leave work. I just wish it was accurate enough to know when i'm leaving my desk at home time so it'd pre-warm my car too!
