Keeping 3,4-way switches in sync after failed module

Had a power surge at the house, fortunately i have a whole house surge protector which saved most things but a number of switches got fried. After replace them the 3 and 4-way ones no longer sync and don't stay in the same state as the other switches. When i try to sync i get an error in the log without any info and the link show sync still required. I haven't programmed three ways since Indigo 5, has anything changed? Thanks in advance.

Try performing a complete Define/Sync for that module (from its Device dialog), then copy/paste the contents of the Event Log window into a reply for me. Instead of taking a screen shot of the window, just copy/paste the actual text.

Re: Keeping 3,4-way switches in sync after failed module

Yes, it looks like the module with address 12.78.3D is malfunctioned or locked up. Try a factory reset of it first (then consider replacing it).

Re: Keeping 3,4-way switches in sync after failed module

So just finished doing that, with a brand new one, sync now works ( interesting that when i removed the old one it was clearly 'fried' however it still turned on the light) however

1. What is "Kitchen Main Lights 2" - not the main switch for the light but the secondary maintains the same state as Kitchen Main Lights BUT only when Kitchen Main Lights is turned on/off
2. But when 2 is turn on and off neither the lights go on/off nor does the Kitchen Main Lights state remain in sync....

but it shows everything is synced.

Re: Keeping 3,4-way switches in sync after failed module

I think this is the problem...on the 2ndary switch link, there is no ability to control the main load of the primary...why would that be?
