Look at their forums... they only have 1 or 2 people answering support questions. I don't think they are a very big organization. Not that I think that is what is actually slowing them down, but getting a larger than usual request may have given them pause.

I can't believe there are that many Indigo users with Automatic hardware, certainly not enough to slow down their entire development support department.

I have been a customer since their first product and I can say the regular support team is pretty good and usually meets their 2 day response commitment. However, according to the email I posted earlier, the team doing development support is independent from the regular support team. If you read between the lines, the regular support people don't seem too happy about the developer support group.

Has anyone gotten their approval from Automatic yet? It's been 12 days since I applied and I haven't heard anything since they said my request was received.

I finally reached someone via Twitter and received the following response:

We have a bit of a backlog of requests to get to, they were going to a misconfigured email box that wasn't monitored for some time. Please be patient as we work through it, you'll get a response soon.

Re: Automatic OBD-II Indigo Plugin

I had previously communicated with their developer support at the following email addresses:

developer-support@automatic.com
developer@automatic.com

Not sure if that helps. Hopefully your requests get approved soon.

Still waiting on current_location scope after a couple of weeks. This still the case for most?

Re: Automatic OBD-II Indigo Plugin

Wow. Have you tried sending followup emails to the two email addresses I mentioned? I wonder if there is another way to reach them. Maybe Facebook, Twitter?

How has the plugin been working as a polling service for you all?

Re: Automatic OBD-II Indigo Plugin

Just received an email from Automatic, approving the requested "scope change" and providing the App ID, etc.

Hope this indicates other Indigo users will soon receive similar emails.

Can't wait to try this plugin!

Re: Automatic OBD-II Indigo Plugin

Just got mine as well!

Configuration seemed to go fine with the approved access. However, I'm getting an error "FYI - Exception caught getting vehicle info: 'latest_location'" and location isn't updating. I'll have to work on it; maybe there is an update I haven't installed. Good progress though.

Re: Automatic OBD-II Indigo Plugin

I tried driving the car a little and things improved somewhat. I no longer get the error when I reload the plugin and I now get some informational messages in the log about the trip, e.g :

Automatic OBD-II 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid Touring En Route; At unknown location, 1 min / 0.0 miles from home, ETA 07:42 PM

However, when I turned off the car, here is what the log said:

Automatic OBD-II FYI - Exception testing newTimestamp vs Old Timestamp (normal for first event received): u'C_14xxxxxxxxxxxxxx'
Automatic OBD-II FYI - Exception caught getting vehicle info: 'latest_location'
Automatic OBD-II 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid Touring:ignition:off @ 2018-02-27 15:47:29
Automatic OBD-II Location unknown, geocode failed: list index out of range

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Automatic OBD-II Indigo Plugin

You’ve entered in the Google Maps API token? I know some people said they got two separate keys for their Google API, but I only got one. I wonder if I need to account for people who got two different ones.
