Battery status as a device

Hi everyone.

Back at using Indigo after two years of testing other software.
What is the best way to display the batterystatus of z-wave devices as a separate virtual device?
I want to use it in Node Red as well as having it in Indigo.

I don't know anything about Node Red, but can you get it to look at variable values? That would seem to be the path of least resistance.

Re: Battery status as a device

Somebody on here posted an amazing python script that automatically compiles every battery operated device into a graphic. It even dynamically updates when you add a new battery device!

Well.. For NR to reach the value, I need to publish it trough MQTT so I need to get the battery-status into an "element" that is supported by one of the two MQTT plugins for Indigo.

You might be referring to this script, but I'm not sure that meets the OP's needs. (And thanks for the kind words!)

Even if this is not what I'm looking for in this post, I will look into the script as I need an overview of all my batteries :)

That is in fact the script I use, up above. It's awesome!
