time outs

I'm getting these, even after restarting the plugin:

Code: Select all
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CalcDeviceFunc
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CalcDeviceFunc

Jul 12, 2017, 5:46:00 PM
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request UiGetValues2
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CallPluginFunc
Error (client)                  dialogForActionId() caught exception: NSInvalidArgumentException -- *** -[__NSPlaceholderDictionary initWithObjects:forKeys:count:]: attempt to insert nil object from objects[0]
I restarted because a trigger edit dialog became unresponsive any time I tried to edit or add a Harmony Hub action.

Re: time outs

That's what I usually see when there's an edit dialog open somewhere. Try quitting the Indigo UI and restarting it.

Re: time outs

No joy.

Quit the UI on the host and the client, left it not running on the host, and it still stalled.

Code: Select all
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CalcDeviceFunc
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CalcDeviceFunc

Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CallPluginFunc
   Error (client)                  dialogForActionId

Re: time outs

That can be caused by any misbehaving plugin. I hate to point fingers, but this is one symptom of the HBB problem that others have experienced so you might want to disable that one first to see if things clear up. If not, continue disabling 3rd party plugins until things settle down.

Re: time outs

I disabled a half a dozen plugins then tried to open the trigger that had a HH action in it, and it stalled.

So now I'm restarting the Indigo machine entirely.

Re: time outs

I wonder if the trigger definition got corrupted in the database. Can you just delete it and start again?

Re: time outs

Restart didn't help.
Code: Select all
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CalcDeviceFunc
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CalcDeviceFunc
   Z

Pretty sure I saw this problem in other triggers with a HH action too, but I can try deleting and re-adding.

Re: time outs

Are all 3rd party plugins disabled except the harmony?

Re: time outs

Yup.

I turned off all the plugins, and I not only see delays when working with HH actions, but I also see this. (see attachment)

Notice what's missing?

Re: time outs

Something is definitely FUBAR. Are you still running a hackintosh?

Re: time outs

Left the window for editing a trigger open for a while, came back to it, tried to edit the activity, got this.
Code: Select all
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request UiGetValues2
Error (client)                  timeout waiting for plugin response from com.flyingdiver.indigoplugin.harmonyhub for request CallPluginFunc

Re: time outs

I promise, no hackintosh in this mix. It's currently turned off, having gotten messed up when I tried updating from 10.12.2 to 10.12.5.

Currently running on a 2009 MBP.

Re: time outs

Is it possibly a problem with sleekxmp? Did I spell that right? I just did a new install a few days ago.

Which dialog exactly? Was it Indigo's standard Trigger edit window or a dialog presented specifically by the plugin?

Disable it and see.
