SQL Logger poll

We're trying to gauge how many users use this plugin and which databases most users use as the backend. Feel free to comment below describing how you use the data logged to the database.

[EDIT] apparently, Tapatalk decided polls weren't useful. However, there is one attached to this post, so please open in a browser and vote, it would be much appreciated. And another good reason to not use Tapatalk... :P

Did you forget to do the poll? There's no votes for SQLite.

Re: SQL Logger poll

The poll doesn’t show on Tapatalk and there’s no mention in the first post that a poll actually exists.

Re: SQL Logger poll

I edited the initial post to mention the poll. Shame on Tapatalk (which I don't use)...

Re: SQL Logger poll

I think SQLite option should be removed as causes so many problems that Postgres doesn’t have.
Having said that, most of my logging and charting is influx into grafana.

Re: SQL Logger poll

Right after taking this poll, I did some investigating and discovered that I USED to use the plugin, but I had for some reason stopped and the implementation I had wasn't working any longer.

However, in looking at what it could do, I realized I could reimplement what I needed more easily than I had done before, and now I'm using it again. With SQLite for the log triggers only. So that's one poll change you'll have to account for manually, since I can't change my vote, apparently.

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.

This is my version (find out using "SELECT version();":

Code: Select all
PostgreSQL 11.1 on x86_64-apple-darwin, compiled by Apple LLVM version 6.0 (clang-600.0.54) (based on LLVM 3.5svn), 64-bit

But I was looking to upgrade Postgres since I use it for other things too. Any known issues with the SQL Logger Plugin if I move to Postgres 14? Thanks!
