Archive forever

Is is OK to snapshot the sqlite files on, say, the last day of the month, and keep it forever? That is, what's the file locking approach used by Indigo/SQL Logger plugin? If not, would a simple script that shuts down the plugin, copies the file, and restarts do the trick?

The goal is to have much longer archives, but not expand the active operating SQLLogger file, or deal with the hassle of a real sql server.

thanks!

Re: Archive forever

The utility plugin does a copy every x hours it takes 10 seconds for a 10 g byte file It seems to work fine
Yes, it would be great to have a function to be able to shutdown a plugin but you can only restart a plugin. I guess that's on the request list.
