Indigo Domotics

Hoping to find out where these event logs are coming from. They just started the other day. I've disabled all NOAA plugins
and removed the old background task I had been using. I'm using FW for virtually everything now.

Any idea what they could be?

Go to your Devices window and click on the "protocol" column to sort it alphabetically, then scan down to find the device that uses "NOAA Weather Plus". Disable/delete that and you should be OK.

That's not coming from the NOAA Weather plugin but rather from the very old Weather NOAA sync.scpt AppleScript file. You apparently missed a startup trigger (or something else) that's running that script.

I’m sure you’re right but I can’t find one that is active.

I did have the script in the old Indigo 7 attachments folder. I removed it and all is well.
Not sure why that folder would be active though.

Indigo doesn't automatically start up scripts in any folder so it's something in your config that was starting it up. My guess is the next time you upgrade Indigo it'll start doing it again until you figure out what in your system is running it.

I’d thought that was what the Attachments folder was for.

No. The Attachments folder makes AppleScript handlers contained in those files available to other AppleScripts, but it doesn't actually execute them.

I removed all the NOAA related scripts, triggers, actions etc. I could find and am still getting a flood of these in my log.

2019-05-26 10:49:35.847 Weather NOAA ParseXML:System Events got an error: Some data was the wrong type.(-1703)

I'm not using anything related to NOAA anymore, old plugins are inactive.
Really appreciate any ideas where the error might be coming from.

Time to go digging in the Indigo database. It's XML, so you can search it in a text editor. Look for the string "Weather NOAA".

+1. You've missed a script somewhere...

Just duplicate your DB before opening it with a text editor to avoid issues.

Nothing shows on a search of Weather NOAA. Lot’s of returns for NOAA but I have no idea what they may be.

I’ve never edited the database file before...not sure how to go about it.

Email us your db file and a log file that contains that shows the error (support@indigodomo.com) and reference this thread.

Thanks Jay. No doubt you have more important things to do.
Since deleting all references, scripts etc. to NOAA
and restarting Indigo I haven’t seen the errors yet.

If they return I’ll send the db and log along.
