USB over Ethernet or WiFi?

Indigo only supports the USB cards. Has anyone tried the EasyDAQ USB cards with a USB over IP?
There are some really cheap $20 USB over Ethernet or more expensive ($80) hubs over WiFi.
I'm wondering how USB drivers get loaded (or does it matter)?
I'd like to wirelessly have the EasyDAQ.

Re: USB over Ethernet or WiFi?

I've tried various different USB over ethernet/cat5/active repeaters before and never really had much luck unfortunately.. some refuse to show, some work intermittently and just cause headaches. I'm also surprised that Indigo only supports USB ones.. i was sure i'd seen options for the network one before.

Computer says no.

I really wanted to use the EasyDAQ but for now have ordered MIMOlites which only has a single analog input although I see they're making a four input version.

On a side note now looking at it, it does seem most are just USB ones.. but that said it does seem to support the NET16PRMx as a network device so perhaps that’d also work for you?

We use half a dozen of http://www.digi.com/products/usb/anywhereusb at work with no problems. All on Windows so I don't know if they'd work with Mac or Indigo.
