Question About Purging Speakers

If I purge speakers do they auto repopulate on next plugin launch? I figure I would ask before I just dove in and did it, got really PO'd, restored my database and turned really really red :D.

Re: Question About Purging Speakers

If the speakers are available in Airfoil and not in Indigo, then yes they will be added automatically. At least, I think they do... ;)

Re: Question About Purging Speakers

I have a handful of *old* speakers that are no longer listed in my Airfoil app, but still listed in Indigo. I've tried deleting one or two, but I get a warning (in Indigo) that EVERY airfoil device will be deleted as a result .. something I do not want.

Is there a different *proper* way for me to get rid of my *old* (unavailable) Airfoil devices in Indigo?

Re: Question About Purging Speakers

Use the Plugins->Airfoil Pro->Permanently Delete Speakers... menu item.

Re: Question About Purging Speakers

Whoops. I just saw this post.

So I deleted on old speaker as there were several duplicates. Now that I know how to properly delete them, how would one go about having Indigo recognize ANY speaker once again. Restarting everything has had no effect. Speakers are just not showing up in Indigo 2023.2 anymore. I'm running the latest Airfoil Pro. and it is showing all of my speakers.

Thank you

Re: Question About Purging Speakers

Resync your Airfoil Instance device and it will recreate any missing speakers.

Re: Question About Purging Speakers

Perfect advice. I had create a new Airfoil Instance but they popped up immediately.

Thank you much!

I wish there was a way to stop it from doing this. It perpetually recreates the “Computer” speaker that I don’t want showing up!

Computer says no.

Re: Question About Purging Speakers

Why are you resyncing your Airfoil Instance frequently enough to make this an issue?
