Airfoil vs. Airfoil Pro?

Is this just some marketing change that hasn't been updated everywhere, and habituation to an old name? Because when I search now, the only actual Airfoil Pro product I find is some sort of bicycle attachment.

Rouge Amoeba seems to only sell "Airfoil."

Mine just says Airfoil now, it may have been something they played with moving from free to paid and then changed later.

Airfoil Pro is the name of the rewritten plugin that we shipped with Indigo 7. It uses a new(ish) network-based API so that it can control Airfoil instances on the network (Mac or Windows). The old Airfoil plugin used AppleScript and was therefore limited to only the instance running on the Indigo Server Mac.

I don't believe Rogue Amoeba has ever used Pro in the name.

Thanks guys. I just forked out my $29 and after a few minutes with the plugin, I think it's going to be a fun holiday break setting up my speakers to receive various sounds in various ways via Indigo!

Good choice! I really like Airfoil, it's been a key part of my HA system for a long time and it has so many capabilities.
