Mac requirement

Am I correct that any Mac (e.g. a Mac Mini) running Snow Leopard is fine? I don't need Snow Leopard server, correct?

To run Indigo? Sure, you are so right :-)

Any Mac with a G4/G5/Intel processor running Mac OS 10.4.11 or better. Mac OS X Server not needed. Note: it's likely the next major revision of Indigo will require Mac OS 10.5 or better - just don't want you to back yourself into a corner... ;)

Requiring OSX 10.5 ...

I hope the next version of Indigo does not require OSX 10.5 because 10.5 requires a computer with at least 1G of memory and lots of the older Macs don't have that.

because 10.5 requires a computer with at least 1G of memory

Not for normal use:

512 MB memory or more
A DVD drive for installation
9 GB of available disk space or more
Some features require a compatible Internet service provider, fees may apply.
Some features require Apple's MobileMe service; fees apply.

My testing Mac mini is a G4 with 512MB running Leopard and runs Indigo fine. YMMV. And, yes, it's pretty much confirmed that Indigo 5 will require Leopard (10.5).

You can run 10.5 with 512MB of RAM, but it's going to be painfully slow. Upgrading RAM is so dirt cheap, if you plan to take the time to upgrade Indigo at that point, spend the $20 and get the RAM too.

12" PB is my choice (because it's available to run Indigo); doing just fine with 640MB of memory

SW 10.5.8
Hardware Overview:

Model Name: PowerBook G4 12"
Model Identifier: PowerBook6,1
Processor Name: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Processor Speed: 867 MHz
Number Of CPUs: 1
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
Memory: 640 MB
Bus Speed: 133 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.5.5f4

These older Macs are great for this type of application (2nd life!). If there is a REMOTE CHANCE to REQUIRE 1G in the future .... out it goes... NO CHANCE to keep/increase the market!
