I'd love to, but the SDK terms are too onerous...

My hands are a bit tied right now

bummer

If that is the case,
I think it's better I close the source then.

I closed the source, want to go with the app store eventually
first some code changes,
things I want to change:

- offline storage with SQLite
- Action page rendering

Everybody is welcome to code with me,
but for the time being, (until NDA lifting from Apple)
I keep it private.

- offline storage with SQLite

I have a version running on a SQLite db
devices and actiongroups work now

pro: instant app startup !
(no more reading in of all the lists before one trigger can be done)

I'm in the work filling the different tables from the packet stream.

eventually I want to make this app capable of
triggering action groups and setting devices on
port 8000 and the server socket.
with the local database on the IPhone running only
the device values have to be updated frequently,
updating the various lists and devices can/have to be done in local subnet.

Great news!

Martijn,
Congrats on getting SQLlite to work. Does that mean that once you finish the action page rendering you'll submit it to the app store?

Please keep us updated on development!

I'll

What works now:
- creation of sqlite db in application/document dir if not excist
- device list and detail views work
- device object is nice clean coded
- All communications is set apart from other code
- sending device on / off / dim works on the 1176 socket
(using the data from the sqlite db)

what I have to do now to close the circle:
- refreshing/updating the sqlite db from the packet stream
- sending triggers / device changes on port 8000 (easy part)

until now no memory leaks yes!

give me a pm or mail for the source code

to get the various out of IndigoServer it would be nice
to follow the Apple plist formatting.

@Matt: some Idea to format the port 8000 output in plist format ?

I'll give it a try and send you the code.

(remote updating should be possible with port 1176 AND port 8000)

Actiongrouplist and device work now
how it works:

SQLite keeps all the data,
the tables can be updated from the packet stream.

so when you kick youre IPhone out of the sleep you can send commands to the at once
and dont have to wait for getting the various lists from the server.

works great

I hope you guys like it, I'm working on more interfaces, and I'll have a Photoshop Layered file ready soon!

Then I can post it here!

I hope this can be used on your project! And if you have any suggestions please let me know!

Congrats for the really awesone development.

Glad you liked it!

Hey Guys,

I'm glad you liked the interfaces ...

@ Martijn Heeroma: I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement this on your app?...or if you want to for that matther!....but I'd be stoked to see it working!!! :)

The idea is to have a clean yet complete interface...that would follow some of Apple's User Interface Guidelines and go beyond!

The "Lights" portion is a table but with a different how background ... and what better way to controll lights than having a virtual swith and dimmer....!

Imagine having the "map" of your complete home and being able to pintch as you do in Google Maps...etc!

The icons for the Light Types could be chosen by the user, and what is written below it could have up to 13 characters...! If the Light/Appliance does not have a dimmer, it would still look good and intuitive...

If you'd like to see some portion of the interface done let me know!

@paolopasseri,
I would love to use youre images,
the most easy for the app is .png as small as possible (everything apart)

I have this stable in the simulator, I hope on the IPhone as stable soon ;)

How's this project coming? This is an app I'd be happy to see...and pay for.

Any need for beta testers?

Yep, you could put me up for beta-testing as well. I´ll even do translation to Norwegian, if you want that.

You can count me in as well. I'll even ask my wife to test, so you know a thing or 2 about the WAF.

(Do I need to offer translating to Dutch?)
