X10 and Casta Lutron ...

I am looking into moving from X10 to Lutron Caseta.

Is it possible to run both simultaneously and to also manage them with Indigo ?

Re: X10 and Casta Lutron ...

Great. Thank you.

I am a Lutron. new-bee

As I understand, Lutron's module will replace my actual X10 LM465 modules. My biggest concern is what Lutron wall control will replace my X10 wall base and keypad.

Is there an equivalent in Lutron for each of X10's wall keypads ? If not where can I find the best info to convert my actual keypads to Lutron's ?

For Caseta native, you would use one of the Pico remotes. They do not have an exact equivalent to the X-10 keypads, so you need to decide if what they have will work for you. You can also program triggers in Indigo to use the X-10 keypads to control the Caseta modules (I think. I haven't actually done that). You can also program triggers for the Picos to make them control different devices with single and double clicks. I use a single 5 button pico in the bedroom to control two shades, two lights, a sound machine, and a fan.

Not sure what you mean by "convert". Convert the keypad itself?

I should have said «where can I find the best info to replace my actual keypads to Lutron's ?»

As an example, if I have a 4 button X10 keypad (3 codes ON/OFF + 1 dimmer), with what Lutron's wall transmitters do I replace that ?

Re: X10 and Casta Lutron ...

As I said, there's a limited number of options. There will not be one-to-one replacements. You have to decide what's going to work for you.

See https://www.casetawireless.com/us/en/pr ... co-remotes for what's available.

The Picos are really designed to control a single device, especially in the Caseta family. You can ignore the Lutron programming and do it all in Indigo with specific triggers, which will let you get around that limitation, but you're still limited by the number of buttons available on each device. The LEAP plugin will let you configure each button (both single and double press) to do whatever you want, but it's more work to set up.

I will have a look to the link. Thank you.

Is there a Caseta wall transmittor with 3 buttons ... that can control 3 designated Lutron module ?

Not using the native Caseta app. But you can do it using Indigo as the middle-man.

Re: X10 and Casta Lutron ...

Most of the time, controlling the lighting in a room is done with the wall transmitter. Controlling it with Indigo is not a real world solution.

Not that it cannot be useful in someway but I need to understand how I can change my actual Decora X10 wall transmitters to Lutron's Pica wall transmitters.

How many different scenarios/modules can a Pica wall transmitter control ?

Re: X10 and Casta Lutron ...

Read the information on the Caseta site to see what it can do natively (not using Indigo).
