Unable to connect to IndigoServer since last Indigo 2021,2

I am unable to connect to IndigoServer since last Indigo 2021,2. Probably a missing link.

I checked my ports and tried to connect to the remote server from the client and it does not complete connection.

Please help.

Can you elaborate more on what "unable to connect" means (errors)? Are you talking about the Mac Client? Indigo Touch? Web access? X10 devices not working? What macOS version?

iMac 27" (2019) running OS 12.1 and Indigo v2021.2.

I remind you that the IS is running on the guest user (automatic login) and that the client is my personal user (admin) account. The client is unable to communicate with the remote IS. IS is running on the guest user.

Try disabling the firewall on your Indigo Server Mac.

P.S. After moving to my new iMac (2019) and upgrading to Big Sur and now to Monterey, IndigoServer doesn't crash anymore. Saved by the bell !

Did you disable the firewall as Matt asked?

I thought that by allowing those 2 Indigo accesses it was the same has disabling the firewall for Indigo. I cannot disable the firewall for all always.

As requested, I disabled the firewall completely. I get the same result. I first get the Server Connection Status window and, since the server is in the Guest User, I select the Connect to Remote Server button. Then I get the Connect to Remote Server window. I click Connect and it gets me back to the first window, without connecting to the IndigoServer.

What you have in the "Indigo Server" box is incorrect - you must specify a full IP address or something that will resolve into an IP address. Try localhost instead.

Got it. It works. Thanks Jay. I don't know how that got changed.

FYI ... IS doesn't crash anymore since my Big Sur and, now, Monterey upgrade.
