Virtual Device Status and Status Variable Not Updating

Hello everyone,

I am using 7.4 and for some reason my virtual device status (on/off) and virtual device status variable for a basic action group has stopped working.

See the attached screenshots. I switched on virtual device debug and there are no virtual device errors on initialization or during an activity.

I have tried the following:

1) stopping and restarting the indigo server as well as the computer
2) stopping and restarting the virtual device interface
3) recreating the virtual device and status variable
4) reinstalling indigo 7.4

Not sure what more to try. Any help would be appreciated.

PS I tried Uploading cropped files again. See if that helps.

Adding the log text might help as well (not screenshots).

Yeah, unfortunately, I can't read them either. Please replace them with larger screenshots. Having everything expanded to fit the whole screen might not work, in which case you should shrink the Indigo windows then only capture them.

[EDIT] if i squint real hard, it appears that the device shows off, and the variable shows false in all the shots. That's correct.

I just reloaded it and it looks fine on my end. If I right click and open the file in another tab the clarity and size of the images looks ok on my end.

The images are fine now.

So, the answer to the question (via email conversation) is that he misunderstood what the status variable was used for. He thought it would be updated by the virtual device going on/off, rather than the opposite.
