This going to be dumb....

I have 7.x the pro version

When I select a new device type, virtual devices dimmed.
I Looked under plugins, not there - I looked at the third party plugins, and nothing there

What simple stupid thing am I missing

I suspect you haven't enabled Virtual Devices in Indigo Preferences > Interfaces from Indigo's main menu?

Look on the Interfaces menu and enable the Virtual Devices interface.
