[ANSWERED]Virtual Device misbehaving

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with a virtual device.
My goal ist to make a virtual device for all my lights, that give me the ability to switch them all simultaneously.
So I created a devicegroup including all my lamps to do that.
Unfortunately the device always switches off - even when I press the "Turn On" button.
I think this might be a bug - or am I doing something wrong?
I', using 6.1.0 btw.
TIA

Wilhelm

Re: Virtual Device misbehaving

Read through the Device Group docs, especially the part that describes how the ON values for each device are stored, and I think you'll see the problem (it is a little complex). In a nut: set all your devices to what you want them to be when the Device Group turns on, then use the Interfaces->Virtual Devices->Update Device Group Saved States... menu item to save those states. Then when you turn the group on the devices will be set to those values.

Thanks Jay, for that explanation. That worked.

Cheers
