Jay, I just mailed you my log from the day I was playing - see if it makes any sense or helps you?
I started working at my desk at 18:38 which is where you see me experimenting with Virtual Devices.

A quick update. Reloaded the Virtual Device plugin and the errors disappeared. Will report if they come back.

You mentioned that you may have duplicated a Device Group - did you do that immediately before the errors in the file you sent started happening?

I hadn't touched or created any Virtual Devices until that day, so the duplicate process should be somewhere in that day's activity log.
I was working until tea time, so all playing took place from the 18:30 time period?

Right, from the log I sent:
At 18:38 I created a new device 1808565961 and renamed it to Stufy Test. (Was supposed to be Study Test!)
At 18:41 I deleted it.
At 18:41 I created a new device 1803919337 and renamed it to vGroup Xmas Lights
At 18:46 I created a new device 1256984422 and renamed it to vGroup All Lights
At 18:52 I duplicated vGroup All Lights (1256984422) to a new device vGroup All Lights Copy (1215618871) and renamed it to vGroup Downstairs Lights
At 18:53 Device map errors for device 1765109646 started occurring (which is my Bedroom Lamp, which is in 'vGroup All Lights')
At 19:21 Device errors stopped.
I'm going to try and break it for you tonight, and re-send the logs with comments included. (And with those pesky WebServer requests disabled for the time being!)

Yippee!
Jay, I've just sent you a copy of my DB as of 10 minutes ago, together with todays log file.
It is currently in the broken state, throwing errors whenever I toggle my Study Light, which is a member of two of the vGroups. More explanation is in the email.

I'm getting the #943 error every time the last device from a virtual device turns off. Below is an example.
- Code: Select all
Nov 8, 2015 6:50:43 PM
Received INSTEON "Office" on
Trigger All OFF Virtual Device - Button 3 ON
Sent INSTEON "PowerLinc Interface" on (scene 30 - Keypad Linc Buttones)
Sent INSTEON "Entry Keypad" on (scene 30 cleanup); no ack
Sent INSTEON "Kitchen Garage Keypad" on (scene 30 cleanup)
Received INSTEON "Office" off
Virtual Devices Error Error #943: Device '611725409' not found in active map. Report to support.

Any ideas why?
Thanks for your help
Edmond

Hello All,
Forget my last question. I think the error was being created because I had deleted a device and re-added it to my configuration, however I did not re-add it to the virtual device. As soon as I added the device again to the virtual device the errors stop accruing.
I should have read the previous posts more carefully before asking the question. Sorry
