Custom States "Cursor" Position

On the Custom States list for a device on the main devices list, a selected state gets reset to the first in the list when any state is updated.

This makes it a challenge to select and and right click to copy a state value when the states are being updated every second.
My specific use case is for my Roon plugin where the track playing seek position, queue time remaining and remaining (for track) is updated every second.

Either the "cursor" should be left in the same position when Indigo updates states or there should be a feature to pause the updates.

The Variable List window manages to update variables without this happening.

Re: Custom States "Cursor" Position

Well then, if variable window works then you should obviously write* an action/trigger to copy state value to a variable, then you can copy the variable value with right-click...

(*yes, I know this feature exists natively already)

Re: Custom States "Cursor" Position

Thanks for the suggestion.

However, in this particular case it would be easier to pause the music to stop the updating.

It's just a general comment that the UI could be improved in this particular respect. :)

I nearly said “disable the device comms” but didn’t know how quickly it would stop for your needs.

Unfortunately that doesn't work as stopping the comms disables the device and the plugin clears out all the states to default values. :)

Thanks – we'll add this to the bug/feature request list.
