Re: Indigo without the reflector option

Not really - the more options there are the more user confusion and the more overhead for us. We think we've hit the right mix for the majority of users. We will continue to include new services in the UTD subscription (like OAuth authentication for use in Alexa skills and Google Home integration, online backup/recovery, etc) in the future.

Re: Indigo without the reflector option

And here I am to offer a contrary opinion:

I was all set to roll my own remote connection, and in fact have it available, but with the subscription model, which I think is reasonable, comes the addition of the reflector. And the reflector is not 100% for me, but the odds that it is working when my port forwarding kludge is not is very very good.

I thought it was unnecessary and now I find value in it.

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.
