Improved MacOS client host & credential support

In the MacOS client when using the Connect to remote Indigo server dialogue, the most recently used server address/host_name and the server username and password are automatically applied. If I wish to connect to an alternate server, I must enter that host name, and then the username and password. If I then switch back to the first server, I must re-enter the address, username and password. Checking the save in keychain box only saves the most recent set of credentials.

I would like the Indigo client to cache a list of recently visited host names and the appropriate username, and also save the password in the keychain. If there were cached entries, the Connect to remote Indigo server would offer pulldown menu with the option to enter a new host ID.

Noted. And I'm going to look into this – I thought we were saving to the keychain the authentication information paired with the server IP address but it sounds like we aren't.

You do, for the current server.

+1 Would love a drop down list of recent servers - Even if it just kept the IP address / server name. Remembering their credentials would be a bonus

This is another one of those that's been on the request list a loooooong time. But given the relative scarcity of people with multiple servers it's always been pretty low in priority.

I'd also love this.

+1

I connect normally to my server, but sometimes I also connect to my parents' server and I always have to enter username and password (along with IP)
