Allow Actions to respond to put method

Several times now, I've run into limitations with various communications tools that send standard http methods such as post and put, but do not know what to do with the non-standard method execute. I don't understand why the execute method is used, but would it be possible for the indigo server to allow the use of post or put for actions in addition to execute? Thanks.

Re: Allow Actions to respond to put method

It's on the list to consider. EXECUTE never really took off in RESTful APIs even though it's a defined and valid method - it's just not as widely supported as PUT.

Re: Allow Actions to respond to put method

I'm not positive it will work, but try doing an HTTP PUT or GET and add ?_method=execute on to the URL to tell Indigo to override the method used.
