Pop-Up UI Controls

I have a control page with one object that is tied to a client action of "Popup UI Controls". When the page renders, this object is treated as a hotspot but clicking doesn't appear to do anything. What is it supposed to do? How do I get mine working?

There is no pop-up window. That's the problem.

M1 Mac Mini running Mac OS Ventura 13.4

Same results in Chrome Version 113.0.5672.92 and Safari 16.5

I don't know how else to explain it.

I put an image/caption on a control page.

I select a Client Action of pop-up UI controls.

When I access that control page via any browser, that particular image/caption produces no discernable action when clicked.

Pop-up UI controls are for things like changing the value of a variable, or controlling a device. There aren't any pop-up UI controls associated with a Static Image/Caption page element.

Browser-based control pages use actual popup windows (always have) - make sure your browser isn't blocking them.

Thank You! This is super helpful information. A little frustrating, since I can attach any of the other various server and client-side actions to a static image, but now I get that there is otherwise no way to specify the object on which the pop-up control is intended to act.

Any idea if there's a way to get a pop-up control with color or light temperature selector for my color-changing bulbs?

DaveL cleared this up. Apparently, there are no pop-up controls available for static images or captions.

Specifying a pop-up control for a given device is working fo me now, both in my browsers and in the Indigo Touch iOS app. But I don't see any kind of color selector for my color changing bulbs. Is that the expected behavior?

That's correct, we don't currently have a color selector popup.
