Newbie guidance with Control Pages Heuristics.

Yes, cleared image cache in touch, quit touch and even cycled off/on device.
When I use the "lantern" icon, it works so it must be something with my naming or the actual image. I thought I read in one of the forums about the image size or maybe the background causing a problem.

Here are the file names:

Indigo 7.4/IndigoWebServer/images/controls/devices/LCARS HALL.PNG
Indigo 7.4/IndigoWebServer/images/controls/devices/LCARS HALL+ON.PNG

FYI, The file size is slightly different. If they need to be the same for Heuristic to work then this could be one issue.

Try lowercase "on". I don't believe it's case sensitive, but it's worth a try. If your Mac's disk is formatted case sensitive that might be a contributing factor.

Change:

LCARS HALL.PNG

to

LCARS HALL+.PNG

I tried lower case +on and it works. Changed it back because I wanted to make certain that was the problem and it still works.

When it was mentioned that the server has to be restarted, was that the indigo app or the hardware? I had to restart the server for an update and wondering if that might of had something to do with it.

When you alter an image name (especially when it's just a case change) it's always a good idea to bounce the Indigo server (no need to reboot the Mac). And if you edit an image it's also a good idea to bounce the Indigo Server.

When you are troubleshooting in general, it's usually a good idea to bounce the Indigo Server if things just don't seem like they're working right. If nothing else, it'll give you a clean start and perhaps a chance to revisit your debugging steps to make sure that you covered all the bases.
