[ANSWERED]control page element order and layering?

It seems that the ORDER in which an element is added to a control page determines how it is layered/ordered relative to other elements?

example: device_statetext1 is already on a page. I add image1 to the page. if I drag device_statetext1 ONTO image1, it goes behind image1. However, if I add a new copy of device_statetext1 to the page, it will go ON TOP OF image1.

Is this how this works? The newest items get ordered on top of previous items?

Correct, the newest items go on top. You can use the Edit z-order checkbox to change the stacking order. You'll see 4 tiny arrows on the selection feedback for objects, as well as a number showing which z-layer the object is on. The left pair of arrows sends the selected object up/down a single layer at a time. The right pair sends the element all the way to the bottom/top of the layers.
