Variable change to same value trigger

Quick question,

If a schedule in set to change a variable to the value it already is, could this fire a trigger that's set to fire if the value changed to that value?

Or will it just ignoring since it's staying the same despite being potentially fresh information that just happens to have the same value as the one before it.

Yes will it trigger it, no it won't..??

I think it had been doing this and whatever it was I just fixed it but I want to modify further and I don't want to screw it up, it was a complex fix.

Nevermind!

I just deviced a workaround, I'll just set a condition for the schedule not to run if the value is already set! Then it won't matter anyway.
