Run action from Android device on the same network

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to run an action from an Android device. I've tried the restful API but cannot get it to work, although it does work from a PC browser on the network.

Any ideas, I want it to be automated otherwise I could use Domopad.

Whatever you use on Android to send the command will need to know how to do HTTP digest authentication (unless you turn off authentication, which we don't recommend).
