Trigger on multiple devices

Hi,

I'm sure this has been asked before but I cannot find the right answer

At the moment a trigger uses a device, state, variable or whatever to start something. My question is simply is there an easy way to trigger is the state of multiple devices become on, off true of false.

At the moment I use a workaround and have for example a trigger that sets a variable to true if my wife is in bed.. Also I have a trigger that sets a variable if I'm in bed.. If both sensors under my bed are true the house goes in rest..

The problem is there that I need multiple triggers to do so.. For example I my wife goes to bed first the trigger is bedsensor wife becomes on ->condition if bedsensor me is true->execute action sleep

but If I go to bed first I have the same trigger in where sensor en condition need to be reversed..

I found out that I have a lot of triggers like this..

So would there be a plugin, or way to simplify this So A trigger only fires when two or more devices would have a certain state..

Kind regards
Vincent

You could try my Occupatum plugin. It makes this kind of logic pretty easy.

Re: Trigger on multiple devices

Hi Joe,

I use it for quit some time.. but It seems that I cannot add a regular device only a sensor device..

My bed sensor is a Tasmota HX711 sensor witch just sends some JSON.. So I cannot add it..

But truely It is a really nice plugin!!

Kind regards
Vincent

Have you tried using Masquerade to create a sensor device from your Tasmota?

Re: Trigger on multiple devices

Masquerade does not work in this case..

The sensorvalue is not an on or off state bit a 5 digit raw value..

Thanks It was worth trying

Kind regards

Re: Trigger on multiple devices

What plugin are you using to interface with the Tasmota? What are the possible raw values you're seeing?

Re: Trigger on multiple devices

I'm using Mqtt connector and shims.. the raw value is just 5 numbers depending on the weight in bed.. For the rest there is nothing that could be useful in the JSON post.. The only thing that would me possible in my opinion is to find a way that if the bedweight becomes > than e certain value it gets an on state..
