Trigger when the reflector connection fails?

Iis it really true that there is no way to capture the "failed to create reflector connection" event? This would be quite a bit simpler to manage but it seems there is not enough interest in having this.

I can see the advice is typically to ping a server out there and manage the success or failure of that ping as a way to deal with loss of internet service, but it seems as if indigo knows when the reflector connection has failed so I'm a bit perplexed that there is not an event that can be accessed.

There is an AppleScript for the ping and test, but I've bumped into a problem trying the python approach to the same thing

No need for Python. I use the Online Sensor Plugin to ping a half dozen servers every 15 minutes. If I fail to get a response then I restart both my modem and router. Works great.
