Fibaro Leak sensor and triggers

Hi guys,

well I've successfully installed my Fibaro leak sensor in the laundry room.
So far, an alarm is triggered when the contacts (extended the contacts with a 2 meter cable) are in water.
As well via email, Prowl and the acoustic signal.

Well, one issue: I have no idea how-to switch off the acoustic signal via Indigo.
For sure, I could try to get the contacts dry, but so fast?

And here I do need some help:
Here is my plan:

1. Device goes on when water is detected. Mail, Prowl and an trigger 10 minutes are started (see attachment, so far realized).
2. So, Trigger runs also for 10 minutes. Now I want to cancel the acoustic signal. How?
3. For the next 20 minutes I want to send mail in 5 minutes intervals (as an reminder).
4. The leak sensor should return to Off, so to be ready for anther alarm.

I need your help for 2. to 4. important is 2. (turn off the beeps on the device).
I can't find anything how to set the water sensor to OFF.

Thanks!

Best,
yassi

Re: Fibaro Leak sensor and triggers

From the user guide, parameter 75 determines how long the audio/visual alarms are active.

So you could set those to 10 minutes and not worry about that bit in Indigo.

I'd do 3 with either a 5minute timer and a variable (increment variable every time it runs, then stop after 4), or four separate timers (5,10,15,20 mins)

The sensor will remain 'on' until it is dry; as long as you've turned off the audio alert it doesn't matter that it's still 'on' as you've had several alerts by then.

Re: Fibaro Leak sensor and triggers

Hi Howart,

thanks for your message.

Oh, my fault, didn't thought I have to modify the device params, though I have to switch it off via Indigo.
Look at the screenshot, I think it's correct so (parameter 75).

Well, with the triggers: I've modified the trigger which starts the alarm when water is detected. Here are the steps in the trigger:
1. send prowl message
2. send email
3 create a pester, four times, every 10 minutes.
4. start a timer

The pester is coupled with an action group which sends the mails.

Do you think it's correct this way?

Thx,
Yassi

Ah, I've never used a Pester - yes, that looks a very good solution.

You don't need the timer at all then if you're using pesters.

Ok, thanks for looking into it.

I've deleted the timer and leaved only the pester.

Best,
Yassi
