X10 Palm Pad Step by Step

Hi all,

As a new user to Indigo but a long time user of X10 I'm looking for some assistance setting up my palm pads so they can work with Indigo. I have several devices that send RF commands that no longer work since I've switched from my CM15A to the 2413U interface. Any step by step instruction on how to send and receive RF commands would be greatly appreciated.

The CM15A is no longer connected to my Mac but it is plugged in to a wall outlet plus I have several TM751 Transceiver modules on hand.

Modules I'd like to command, Palm Pad HR12A, Motion Sensor HS16a (Eagle Eye) and a garage door flood light/motion sensor (model unknown, too cold to check right now)

Thanks in advance.

Roger

The 2413U doesn't do X10 RF so that's likely the problem. Seems likely the CM15 isn't relaying RF signals onto the power line. If you really want to use X10 RF devices, we recommend the W800USB X10 RF receiver - it's very dependable (well, as dependable as X10 can be) and it can be used simultaneously with the 2413U.

But the TM751's should be relaying RF onto the power line?

As long as the 2413U is working with power line commands and Indigo, nothing else should have changed except perhaps RF range in the immediate vicinity of the Mac if you previously used the CM15 instead of TM751 in that room?

The TM751's might work, though their range is very hit or miss. I believe they also only work with a single house code so you have to have them configured correctly.

Ah, fair point.

I stopped using my TM13's (UK variant of TM751) a year or two ago, so I'd forgotten that.

I don't use any X10 RF any more; just the Marmitek Bedroom Clock with a CM15 which I use to run 16 triggers in ZWave that in turn fire various actions.
