Lock toggle ability removed?

I just upgraded from 7.4 to 2021.
I just realized that the ability to toggle a lock is no gone. I have to set either lock or unlock.
Is there any way to do this? I am using 2 kwikset z wave locks.

Only way I can think of now is with variables and triggers, etc. Seems like a big pain just for a simple task.
Am I missing something?

Is the device visible in the popup if you choose the action Type Device Actions->Light/Appliance Controls->Toggle On/Off ? If it isn't then I can show you how to do the toggle with an embedded action script.

No, the device doesn't even show when I try a toggle for lights.
It used to when I had 7.4. I had control pages set up with this for a few years without issue.
Now the locks are not available for toggle.
As a workaround, I used variables and triggers.

Instead of using variable/triggers, select the action Type Server Actions->Script and File Actions->Execute Script and paste in this line to the Embedded Python field:

indigo.device.toggle(DEV_ID_HERE)

Right-click on your lock device in the main window and choose the Copy ID menu, then paste that in to replace DEV_ID_HERE.

I’ll give it a shot and report back.

I have a Kwikset 910 z-wave door lock. Before upgrade to 2022.1, status request and device (loc/unlock) action worked OK. Now, no response to status request or device acton (lock/unlock). It Syncs OK, but does not respond to status request or lock/unlock actions. The manual keypad lock/unlock works OK. I've tried factory reset and re-inclusion with same results. I tried the previous suggestion to see it the device appears in a Trigger -Device Action-light Appliance Controls-toggle(onOff). I also tried Lock(lock controls) and device did not appear int he selection device list. I also bought a Model 450191 z-wave carder the lock and same results. If any suggestions, please reply.

That's saying no encrypted commands are supported. Lock/unlock require encryption. Looks like you lost the encryption key in the upgrade. Try excluding the device and then re-including with encryption.

The previous posted sync report is excluding then including with encryption . I tried several times to include with encryption I have a Z-Stick Gen-5 z-wave controller. What’s the best USB Z-Wave hub/controller?

I found the problem with Kwikset Lock (910) not working. I had an older node on the controller that would not sync. I tried to sync with it and sync failed. I went to Z-Wave interface and used the "remove failed nodes from controller". That removed the failed node. I did a new excluding then including with encryption and now it's working OK.
