I've been playing on and off with making this device work over MQTT. It appears its possible its just that it requires the terrible SmarthThings hub.
The Brilliant keypad works with SmartThings and SmartThings can push out MQTT.
Thus far though I haven't really managed to get a "stable" working solution. SmartThings leaves A LOT to be desired in terms of clarity, and expectations on functionality.
