Advice: What's the most Indigo compatible water sensor ?

I'm looking to add my first water sensor to Indigo and have seen mixed results in this forum

What water sensor works best with Indigo?

I have numerous HOMESEER units and I am happy with them.

I had an Everspring ST812 unit that failed. I replaced it with an Aeon Water Sensor 6 (ZW112-A) which works well. The unit also reports temperature, tamper, and tilt--which Indigo supports natively.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Yes. Looks like it. I have 13 of them at my one home and 21 at my other home. They have not failed me yet. As long as I don’t let the batteries die. They also report temperature. And tamper. The battery lasts about a year. It is an uncommon battery. LS14250 or ER14250 IIRC.

Hi,

I do use a couple of Fibaro Flood Sensors (FGFS111) and a Philio Tech PAT02-A.
Both work well with my Indigo setup

Cheers,

Guido

I would recommend a leak detector instead of water sensors. A water sensor only detects a leak on that spot and warn you. A leak detector on the main water line will detect all leaks and also stop the leak when it happens. You also have the option to turn off the water completely when you are away. I don’t know where you live, but I purchased a Leakomatic M4. It can be controlled using there app. It also has relays for external control, like an alarm or in my case a Fibaro RGBW to set in away mode automatically.
The leak detection level on these devices are really good, my model detect leaks down to 15 ml in an hour, that is like 1 water drop every 10 minutes or something like that.

My Everspring ST812 has been faultless for years. I think I’ve only replaced the battery once in 4 years.

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.

I installed a HomeSeer HS-LS100+ Z-Wave Plus Leak Sensor yesterday and it was simple. The test went well. So far so good.
