aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

triggers only seem to be giving me access to "battery_level" for the nannomote. How can I make triggers from "button pressed"

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

Are you choosing the Trigger Type Z-Wave Command Received, then selecting Incoming Command Received from Device?

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

I just added one of these - I set it up and indigo sees it but does not see the button press - info below

Indigo Z-Wave Version: 7.5.0
Node ID: 66
Model: NanoMote Quad (ZWA003)
Model ID: 01020003
Manufacturer: Aeon Labs
Manufacturer ID: 0371
Protocol Version: 4.61
Application Version: 1.03
Model Definition Version: 1
Library Type: 3
Class Name: Basic Wall Controller
Class Hierarchy: 04 : 18 : 01
Command Class Base: 00
Command Versions: 80v1 84v2 85v1 86v1 55v1 98v1 59v1 5Av1 5Bv1 5Ev1 9Fv1 20v1 6Cv1 70v1 72v1 73v1 7Av1
Encryption Status: Enabled for Commands 80 84 85 86 59 5A 5B 70 72 73 7A
Multi-Endpoint Types: - none -
Multi-Endpoint Classes: - none -
Multi-Instance Counts: - none -
Features: routing, battery, beaming, security, waking

Is this a new config that indigo does not support yet - help!!!!!!

PS - yes I'm choosing the Trigger Type Z-Wave Command Received, and then selecting Incoming Command Received from Device.

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

Hi Norm,

For it to work the Enable scene commands option in the device settings dialog needs to be enabled. From your Event Log snippet above, it looks like that isn't the case maybe?

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

It would not let me change it - so I factory reset the quad and trashed all the indigo stuff I had and started over fresh.

The new add info below - I was able to turn on scene commands but it is still not working - when I press any button indigo does not seem to get / see any Z-wave commands - I'm very confused at this point :-(

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

It looks like the firmware version you have does not support parameter #41. The one I have does, but it is a beta unit Aeotec sent me so it has an older firmware version. Additionally, the engineering docs do not mention parameter #41 (unlike the NanoMote One which does have it).

I'll remove the UI for that parameter from the next version of Indigo so that it doesn't try to read out that value when syncing. However, I don't believe this will fix the problem you are seeing. From my understanding this module should always send the central scene commands which Indigo is using for the Triggers.

Let's debug into this some more. Turn on Indigo's Z-Wave Debug Logging checkbox via the Interfaces->Z-Wave->Configure... menu item. Next, press all of the buttons on the remote individually, waiting about 5 seconds between each press. Copy/paste the Event Log results into a reply for me so we can see what commands are being sent (if any).

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

Nothing in the log when I press any of the buttons but I do see this (below) - which looks to be the prior nanomote ID (067) that I removed - 068 is the current nanomote ID. Not sure why it seems to do nothing when I press any of the buttons but it does seem to be reporting the battery every hour and it updated my setting when I turned on scene commands?

Any idea what I can try?

Z-Wave connection reset requested
Z-Wave connected to Z-Stick Gen5 (ZW090) interface on /dev/cu.usbmodem14601 (firmware 1.00, SDK unknown)
Z-Wave found module included in controller with no matching device (missing or disabled): 067 - Basic Wall Controller

Edit -- Should I try adding it w/o encryption?

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

Yes, definitely try without encryption (exclude it first). I didn't catch you had included it with encryption before. I suspect it will work fine without it.

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

Yup - works w/o encryption - Thanks!!!!
BTW, how to I get rid of one of the old ID for it that looks like it is still in my z-wave stick - see below?

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

Thanks but I have other modules that fail but I don't want to remove them (they are only plugged in when / if needed - would like to just remove ID 67 not any of the others.....

Re: aotec nanomote button pressed trigger

That isn't currently possible. Indigo only has UI for removing all failed nodes. I'll add to the feature request adding more granular control.
