Insteon Door Sensor Model 2845-222

I install two of these ro be a last stop door check.. Sillly me I figured they would be simple on or off. After getting used to status being on all the time.... I paid attention to the log. It turns on or off but does this by a button status change which I can't find a way to use this status change as a trigger

Code: Select all
Oct 30, 2019, 5:36:19 PM
Received INSTEON                "Front door sensor" on (button 2)
Received INSTEON                "Front door sensor" on (button 1)
Received INSTEON                "Front door sensor" on (button 2)
Received INSTEON                "Front door sensor" on (button 1)

Any thoughts?

Somehow yours got into the "Enable Group 1 & 2 Broadcast" mode. I know the Insteon software has that as an option, but I don't think it is possible to put it into that mode physically (via button presses/etc.). Try factory resetting the module since that mode should be disabled by default: remove battery, press and hold the set/link button, insert battery, continue to hold button until long beep, then re-sync it in Indigo.

Thanks for the quick response!!!! Trued what yo said. even true new battery. No joy. I still have two buttons calling in. Probably the device is gone bad which is nothing new for insteon. I have another which is working just fine on my other door. Will add this to my piles of dead devices
