USB Controller not connecting

Hi There. I just upgraded my iMac from a 2011 model to the new 2019. My 2011 model used to have issues with the PowerLink 2413U not connecting after a power outage. I read that was an issue with older Macs, so I accepted it. But now I'm having a worse problem connecting with my new iMac. When I reboot or startup it will not connect. Sometimes unplugging and replugging in the USB cable will solve it, sometimes not. Quitting the application and relaunching will work and sometimes I have to reboot. The version of the PowerLink is 2.1, 1621. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: USB Controller not connecting

What exactly are the errors you see in the Event Log when it fails to reconnect?

Also, is it plugged directly into a USB port on your Mac? Have you tried a different USB cable?

Finally, when it does finally connect, do you see any Insteon errors in the event log (no acks, etc)?

Re: USB Controller not connecting

Below is the log showing the errors and then when it connected. Yes, it's plugged directly into my Mac's USB port and yes, I have tried a different cable with same results. It connected once I switched ports. It killed the port it was originally connected to - had to switch my Logitech fob to another port to get my keyboard reconnected. See log entry at bottom.

I don't understand what that means...

Re: USB Controller not connecting

I switched ports with the controller and keyboard. The controller connected but my keyboard stopped working - the port was dead.

This doesn't sound like a common problem with Indigo or the controller. I'm thinking it might be related to another USB device or one of the 2 hubs I have connected (the keyboard was acting sporadic when connected to one of the hubs). I'm going to troubleshoot it from that perspective and if I still have issues I'll get back to you. Thanks, Jay.

Re: USB Controller not connecting

Well, Jay, I thought that was the issue but apparently not. I shut down, I unplugged all the USB devices rebooted and the controller still wouldn't connect. Unplugging the USB cable from the controller, quitting Indigo, plugging the controller back in and relaunching Indigo, seemed to work. Could there be something wrong with the controller itself? Below is the entire startup process:

Could be. First, disable all 3rd party plugins and let's see if that makes any difference. Unlikely, but we've seen odd interactions before.
