Insteon Range Extender

I'm trying to add an Insteon range extender to Indigo and it keeps failing. When I press the set button for 10 seconds, the Insteon address pops up in the new device setup on indigo so I know Indigo is getting communication from the device, but when I hit "Start", it fails to add. Do we need to add range extenders to indigo or do they just work?

From Indigo's perspective the range extenders just work. We never added a device definition for them since there are no properties they have that Indigo can control nor any useful states they broadcast out.
