Is there a way I can replace a failed unit with a new one and let Indigo know about the swapout so I don't have to re-do all my triggers, groups, buttons etc?

Thanks!

Yes - just edit the existing one and change the Insteon address in the define and sync dialog then sync it. Indigo will do all the necessary updates to make it work.

Will indigo also take care of the internal Insteon links as well? Especially other devices still trying to send commands to the removed module?

Yes, Indigo will search its persistent link database (we store links as well in our database just for this reason) and it will fix the links in all the devices that reference the replaced device.

I just did this recently, and it was super easy, and I had no issues.
