Re: Steinel Z-Wave Lights

I seem to be getting this now ?

Z-Wave Syncing - started for "Outdoor Garden Flood LED"
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved module neighbors list: 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 21, 32, 33, 36, 37, 82

Z-Wave Syncing - failed
Z-Wave Error Devices "Outdoor Garden Flood LED Sensor, Outdoor Garden Flood LED Multi Sensor" are currently referenced by other objects, so the sync cannot be performed. Right-click on the devices in the main window and choose the Show Dependencies menu to find the references, then modify those objects to not reference the device and re-sync this device again.

Re: Steinel Z-Wave Lights

<smoke clearing away from ancient genie lamp, mysterious figure appearing> Did someone call my name?

That sync error means that the module no longer is reporting to have as many devices (end points in this case) as it did when originally sync'd. In this case Indigo wants to delete the devices named Outdoor Garden Flood LED Sensor and Outdoor Garden Flood LED Multi Sensor. Indigo notices that you are actively using those devices though (in actions, triggers, etc.), so it does not proceed with deleting them and just fails the sync.

I'm not sure why the module is no longer reporting those endpoints. It might be because of the associations you added are changing how the device reports itself to Indigo. That would be strange, but we've had other cases where modules drastically change how they report themselves based on configuration parameters. Another possibility is there was just a transient problem during the sync and the commands to the module to get the endpoint information failed. So try the sync a couple more times to see if the error persists. If it does, then you could try removing the 2 associations first, then re-sync to see if that is what is causing it to report differently.

Re: Steinel Z-Wave Lights

Stranger and stranger.
So I have 2 of these devices.

One:
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved module neighbors list: 2, 4, 8, 11, 18, 20, 21, 30, 32, 35, 37, 38, 39, 52, 56, 81
Z-Wave Syncing - assigning return route to "082 - Driveway Flood Light"
Z-Wave Syncing - assigned return route
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved manufacture and model names: Unknown - 0271, Relay Power Switch - 00011A73
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved protocol version 4.38, app version 0.48
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved class hierarchy: Routing Slave : Relay Switch : Relay Power Switch (04 : 10 : 01, base 25)
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved command classes: 20v1 60v4 22v1 71v1 25v1 86v1 27v1 2Bv1 2Cv1 8Ev1 70v1 31v4 72v1 73v1 77v1 59v1 7Av1 5Av1 5Ev1 85v1
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved encrypt commands: - none -
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved capabilities: routing, beaming
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved multi-endpoint types: 1:(10 : 01), 2:(07 : 01), 3:(21 : 01)
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved multi-endpoint classes: 1:[5E 85 8E 59 25 2B 2C 27 22], 2:[5E 85 8E 59 71], 3:[5E 31 85 8E 59]
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved group 1 associations: [1]
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved group 2 associations: [1]
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved group 3 associations: [1]
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved group 4 associations: [1]
Z-Wave Syncing - group 1 association to interface already exists (skipping)
Z-Wave Syncing - complete
Z-Wave sent "Driveway Flood Light" status request
Z-Wave sent "Driveway Notification Sensor" status request
Z-Wave sent "Driveway Multilevel Sensor" status request

The other one gave a different error this time
Z-Wave Syncing - started for "Outdoor Garden Flood LED"
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved module neighbors list: 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 21, 32, 33, 36, 37, 82
Z-Wave Syncing - assigning return route to "081 - Outdoor Garden Flood LED"

Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved encrypt commands: - none -
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved capabilities: routing, beaming
27 May 2018 at 22:16:30
Z-Wave Error Syncing - failed
Z-Wave Error Timeout waiting for "081 - Outdoor Garden Flood LED". Module might be asleep, or is unreachable.
Z-Wave Error device "Outdoor Garden Flood LED Multi Sensor" does not support status request command

And interestingly the 'broken' device doesn't show up in the manage associations window now. (Device 81)

Re: Steinel Z-Wave Lights

Try excluding, re-including, then re-syncing the one that doesn't work.

Re: Steinel Z-Wave Lights

Also Peter FYI motion on the 'working' one doesn't trigger anything to show in the log either.
Will do Matt.

Put a ZWave Watcher on device 82.

Re: Steinel Z-Wave Lights

OK so I excluded and re-included the failing light (81) which then also failed.
Reset the light (switched the power switch off & on again!) and now it includes fine.

I've since re-associated everything on the new device (85) and re-sync'd and it's all working except for the motion still not showing in Indigo.
Will give the Z-Wave watcher a try in just a sec.

Re: Steinel Z-Wave Lights

Ok, ...71 05.... is the Motion_On and Motion_Off notifications.

....25 03 FF and 21 01 FF are varied On commands, from (I think) the PIR and the Light. PIR sends On in case end device such as another external light doesn’t understand Motion_On/Off commands.

I would expect to trigger on the 21 01 FF ok; I don’t think I support 71 05 or 25 03 yet.

Let me read my code and come back to you.
