Virtual Devices not Enabled

Greetings,

I am try to create a Virtual Device. I select NEW/TYPE and Virtual Device is greyed out. I select INTERFACES and Virtual Device has no menu (no arrow).

Can you assist please?

You need to enable the interface in Indigo Preferences > Interfaces

Greetings autolog,

I do not have a selection for Virtual Devices in Preferences/Interfaces. I only have Z-Wave, INSTEON/X10 Power Line Interface and X10 RF Interface. There is no option for Virtual Devices.

Any other ideas?

What version of Indigo are you running?

Presuming you are running Indigo 7, download and re-run the latest installer and restart the Mac. It sounds like your install of Indigo might have become corrupt.

Then do what Matt suggests but for Indigo 6

Take a look at the Indigo 6 documentation here: Virtual Devices Interface

That states that you should follow the procedure I previously noted.

I am running version 2023.1 & 2022.2 at different locations and "Virtual Devices" is greyed out. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Questions:

1) What macOS version are you using?
2) What is the model of Mac?
3) Are there any errors in the Event Log window when you restart the server (copy/paste into Code tags if there are)
4) Both locations, running different versions, have the same issue (when using the Indigo Mac client on each computer)?

Correct. Same greyed out option for Virtual Devices.

After a server restart, copy/paste the entire contents of the event log window into Code tags in a reply.

Also, are you running under the same user account (that has admin privileges) that installed it with?
