Insteon Motion Detectors

I have an Insteon Motion Detector (NOT the new one) in a staircase.

I have two Insteon Dimmers (3-way) in the staircase.

I would like to be able to control the Dimmers via the Motion Detector (no problem), separately from when clicking the physical switches.
In other words, if I turn on the staircase light because I am running the vacuum at night, the Motion Detector programming is ignored.

Re: Insteon Motion Detectors

I do something similar with my front porch lights. Usually they come on when motion detected when nighttime; and off again in 5 minutes. I have a button on a keypadlinc that when pressed triggers an action group that turns on the light and disables the motion sensor trigger. (So I can keep the light on when multiple guest are due to arrive), pressing the button again triggers a action group that turns off the light and enables the motion sensor trigger. I imagine you could do similar with 2 3-way switches with slightly more complicated logic.

Re: Insteon Motion Detectors

Thanks. I will play around with it. I think the key is the disable function.
