Installing solar panels on my roof; Enphase Microinverters

Hello all,

Am seriously considering putting a solar system on our roof that uses Enphase M250 Microinverters. I understand that its software monitoring system (Envoy, I believe), uses electrical lines to communicate with our local network.

Question: for those who have similar solar setups with Enphase, have you had any problems with Enphase interfering with Insteon signals? It would be very unfortunate if this new solar system messed up my existing Insteon-based home automation system.

Also, if anyone can comment on how they like their Enphase solar setup, I'd appreciate feedback, both positive and negative.

Thanks for reading!

Re: Installing solar panels on my roof; Enphase Microinverte

I have the Enphase 215 and found they don't interfere with Insteon at all.

The system is fine, but the most annoying thing is that they charge for access to the API and advanced system monitoring tools. The local API to the Envoy is very weak.

Thanks for the reply. Planning to move forward with an Enphase system with M250 inverters. I was a bit leery of Enphase as it is a relatively new company that hasn't yet generated any profits but it seems to be the market leader and inverter reliability seems to be very good for the later generation inverters.

I'm running Indigo version 4 on an older Mac Mini (do have a problem setting up new devices xx.xx.xx , but I'm a thinking it's something to do with the older driver software or with my WebCam softwares conflict)

Thanks for your reply. My Enphase system (18 250s) has been working extremely well since installed almost 3 months ago. No interference whatsoever with my insteon setup.
