Indigo 2022.2 hangs on startup after migration

So I got to "repair" my server by re-installing the OS (10.15.7) and using the migration assistant to copy stuff over. Yeah, brilliant idea, but the usual "just restore the backup" approach didn't clean up the mess. Everything went swimmingly, for the most part. Except...

Now Indigo hangs on launch. I've reinstalled it, moved aside /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation, cleared all preferences, etc. No joy. The app immediately freezes on launch, with a sample trace that basically says

Weird, eh? Note that we never make it to "do you want to start a server"; this is all client side. The menu bar appears sometimes but is frozen (spinning wheel).

This seems to be specific to my user account. I created a new (admin) user and it can launch the app just fine. Does anyone have any idea what else I need to remove/adjust/exterminate in my account to make this freeze go away? I have tried moving aside all of ~/Library/Preferences to no effect. (And what is Indigo trying to do here? Can I have a hint, please?)

Dunno. I ended up moving my entire home directory aside and then (slowly, agonizingly) moving the important parts back. The entire Indigo configuration came back without trouble, as did all of Library/Preferences and Library/Containers. The gremlin must be in one of those "what the heck was that again" folders that accumulate over the years, and I can't be bothered to figure out which one.

I'd still love to hear why Indigo wants to open a speech channel on startup before it even enters the event loop.
