Re: Newer version of Indigo 2022.x.x

Thanks, Jay! Exactly the threads I was looking for, and solid advice to isolate errors - rather than compounding them with a move mixed in!

Thank you,
Daniel

Re: Newer version of Indigo 2022.x.x

Still looking for these few plugins to be updated to python3.....

1. HassBridge (Critical)
2. Home Assistant (Critical)
3. Honeywell Total Connect (Critical)

4. Online Sensor (not critical)
5. Group Trigger (least critical)

It look like many have been abandoned.

Jay is there any way to get these update. I can provide testing but I don't have the background to do the updating myself?

Without these I would likely forgo update my system and be forced to investigating a move to another platform...(prefer not to do this as it would require some significant work and
$$ investment...

Re: Newer version of Indigo 2022.x.x

Good news and bad. The first two might be abandoned, but the code has an MIT license which allows anyone to take it over and update it. I have not yet looked at the code to see how difficult it would be. One question - why do you need TWO different Home Assistant plugins?

The Honeywell plugin is the problem. Nick signed some sort of developer agreement with Honeywell in order to get access to the API. The plugin uses compiled code. There's no way for someone else to update it. So I think it's totally dead.

I didn't even look at the last two.

Re: Newer version of Indigo 2022.x.x

Maybe I am not using the plugins the correct way..... but I use them in the following manner...

HassBridge: I use it to take Indigo Devices and send their information to Home Assistant. It has a much better interface for webpage visualization of devices stats etc. I do not think Home Assistant plugin does this?

Home Assistant: I use this plugin to bring Home Assistant devices into Indigo. For example the Pentair plugin for indigo give me control of pumps but not values like pH, and ORP. The Home Assistant pentair integration provides these added information which I can bring in and use for Indigo. I do not think HassBridge does this?

GOOD NEWS.....If we get the above two plugins update then I can work around the Honeywell plugin not working because..... Home Assistant has a Honeywell Integration.... I would just pull in the information and allow the two to communicate for thermostat control.

Thanks for your help in advance..

Why not just use Home Assistant for everything, then?

I too would really appreciate an updated HA plug in :D
I've just started looking at it for connection to my solar and battery storage as it provides a really slick interface.

Re: Newer version of Indigo 2022.x.x

Mainly because I do not think the Home Assistant manages Insteon devices well and that is a large part of my system...

Home Assistant has a good graphical interface for viewing thinks but I like Indigos setup and control much better.

I realize everyone has their individual preferences.

Thanks for your help and willingness to look into this.

Re: Newer version of Indigo 2022.x.x

I’ve just starting playing about with Home Assistant for a rental property and would be interested in bringing those devices into Indigo. So a +1 for someone to look at it.

Home Assistant plugin: viewtopic.php?f=216&t=27298

HassBridge is MUCH more complicated. Not sure if I'll be able to do that one.
