Server to Server Communication

I'm moving into a realm of using Indigo that I've never done before.

Today I purchased a license for a separate property that I have. It has its own Mac mini, Insteon PowerLinc, and devices.

Is it possible to create a device on my Indigo server here at home that would essentially "mirror" a device on the server running on the Mac on the other property?

Re: Server to Server Communication

There are ways to do it. Nothing baked in. One way is to use the MQTT Connector and Shims to publish the device(s) from the remote Indigo setup and then have a Shim on the local Indigo that's updated via the published MQTT messages. Requires an MQTT Broker in between, which could be on a cloud server or on your local LAN (with port forwarding, etc).

Which does remind me that I could update both plugins to make that process more transparent, but that'll have to wait until Indigo 2022.1 is out, possibly 2022.2.
